The New Just Keeps Coming!
I’ve been asked to lead a guitar group. I told them I wasn’t qualified to teach. I’ve been playing and singing for 40 years. Have a listen HERE (pay attention to my favorite artists in the sidebar). I’m self-taught and probably have God knows how many bad musical habits, but the group is as much for social interaction as anything, and they said I could handle a beginner group,
I figure I can. And you know it will motivate me to work on my musical weaknesses. At pushing 70, I’m rising to the challenge. I’m hoping it will turn into a weekly acoustic jam. 🎶🎸 I will defer to experience in the teaching department. Uh Huh! 😊
That’s my son in the picture. Ain’t he a cutie? He’s only been playing a few years and already way better than me. Good genes. Gets ‘em from his mother😄. He laughs at me because I can’t do a walk-down on the fretboard. But I can make more than four chords and finger pick!
I’m heading into my third week at CrossFit. No pictures yet but feeling good and writing every day. Making good progress on the second edition of God and Women, to be published some time this year. Aiming for before summer. I’ve reduced the price on Kindle for the 1st Edition, (which is published under a different title).
On the home front, the food wars with Mom rage. Food becomes a hellish issue with dementia. I went through that with my father. I think a lot of it is an aversion to texture rather than taste, but foods Mom has always loved are off the menu because she hates them now. Of course, she’s not aware of why she hates most all food, she thinks it’s because Jeff and I are lousy cooks🧑🍳and tells everyone that 😱. Don’t you know there’s always someone in the family that actually believes it? We won’t go there.
My novel in progress is coming along nicely. I had to take it back to the planning stage, but my readers won’t regret it. I’m falling in love with my own story in a whole new way. So, if you love a good mystery/romance with lots of heart, some suspense, and an edge-of-your-seat plot, subscribe to the updates and release announcement.
I’ve published to my Bible commentary, my Christian response to domestic violence, and to my God and Women columns this past week. Check out the topics that interest you.

On a more personal note: Most of my columns (I have several) are focused on the issues and passions I write about, but in the past, I have rarely written about what’s going on with me personally. This is the place for me to get over that.
I love getting to know my readers. What’s going on with you?
