My Year in Writing
I just did the count (first time I’ve ever done this), and this year I wrote and posted 151 articles (152 counting this one) to my various blogs and six Substack columns. That’s an average of almost three articles a week, … and all the while feeling like I was being unproductive and largely ineffective as a writer!
How many of you struggle with this, feeling like you’re being unproductive and ineffective in whatever area of life you feel called to?
Unless you are downright refusing to walk in your calling, I assure you, you are making a difference.
So don’t grow weary in well-doing. Trust in the Lord and DO GOOD. God will multiply our efforts in doing good. And remember, all things DO work together for good to those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.
Writing is only one of the things I do in striving to do good. Not patting myself on the back here. I totally do not deserve that. I’m as self-centered as anyone and more so than most. I am well aware that I will be a work in progress till Jesus calls me home.
In looking back over 2024, I see triumphs and failures. Gains and losses. I want to learn from these as I move forward trusting in the Good Lord and DOING GOOD.
How was your year? What are your hopes and plans for 2025? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
About Me: Most of my columns (I have several!) are focused on the issues and passions I write about, but I rarely write about what’s going on with me. This is the place for me to get over that and get to know my readers … and for my readers to get to know me. Connect with me on Facebook, Goodreads and LinkedIn. Links to all my Substack columns are here. Tell me about yourself in the comments of this post!
